TYC Juniors Program

The Tammany Yacht Club Juniors program focuses on skill development, sailing knowledge as well as local and regional racing. In order for a junior to participate, they must either be a child of a current TYC member or become a TYC Junior/Youth member themselves. With a TYC membership, you have access to the boats and facilities provided by TYC as part of your monthly dues.

On most Sundays between 1pm and 4pm, we are either practicing in the boats or working on other sailing related activities. We currently sail Optimists, Lasers, 420s and Flying Scots. Juniors are welcome to bring their own boats if they so desire.

TYC Summer Sailing Program

Tammany Yacht Club will once again be hosting our Summer Sailing program in 2011. We will be hosting 3 sessions this year. Each session is two weeks long, Monday through Friday from 9am - 4pm. After the 3 sessions there will be a special, one week racing course for our advanced Juniors. Our sailing camp is designed for sailors between 7 and 15.

Session 1 - June 6th through June 17th
Session 2 - June 20th through July 1st
Session 3 - July 11th through July 22nd
Invitational Racing Week - July 25th through July 29th

Summer Camp Pricing:
Child of TYC Member: $300 / session
Extended Family Member of TYC Member: $350 / Session
Non-Member: $400 / Session

A deposit of $100 is required to reserve your spot in our program.

There is a 10% discount if you register for multiple sessions, multiple juniors or bring your own boat.
