Tammany Yacht Club is
located on the north shore of beautiful Lake Pontchartrain in Slidell,
Louisiana. It is a member of the Gulf Yachting Association and enjoys
full reciprocal arrangements with member clubs around the lake and

In this meeting we will discuss upcoming events like our July 4 event and the revival of our Juniors program.

Our Wednesday Night Racing may be over, but that doesn't mean we won't be up at the club! This Wednesday (May 6th)
we will be having a Boatowners Hurricane Planning session. As preperation for this upcoming hurricane season,
come talk with members and share ideas on the best way to protect your loved one (boat that is) from harm.
We will also have a few boats that will be using this break in racing to go practice their boathandling skills
so they can come back even stronger in the fall. Don't miss out!
Spring Racing Results
First we would like all of our volunteers that have
helped make our Spring racing season a success!
Gary Knight (RC Boat), Bobby Tassin (PRO), Wayne
Jablonowski (PRO)
and all the other volunteers who helped set marks,
pull anchors and generally do all the grunt work so
the sailors could go out and have a good time.
I would like to report that we saw two new boats
show up for our Charter Day Regatta (May 30th). A
new face at the club, Victor, was out in his Catalina
27 and Kevin took Kenny LaNata out as crew on his
recently purchased Viper 640.
